The Halifax Hurricanes weathered a big fourth-quarter run from the Moncton Magic to win a decisive Game 4 in Moncton on Thursday.

The veteran Halifax squad now leads the National Basketball League of Canada Atlantic Division Finals three games to one after their 94-87 win at Moncton Coliseum.

Halifax's dominant small forward Tyrone Watson continued his exceptional playoff effort with 22 points off eight of 11 shooting and a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line. Watson also ripped down 10 rebounds to help the Hurricanes control the glass on both ends of the floor all game, out-rebounding the Magic 43-33.

The Hurricanes used offensive rebounds to score 16 points and scores a walloping 56 in the paint for the game.

Antoine Mason and Billy White provided sparks of offence for Halifax both early and late. They each finished with 16 points. Both also played well on defence coming up with two steals each, while White blocked one shot.

Centre Rhamel Brown, who went down late in Game 3 was back in the lineup and banging down low. He grabbed five boards and blocked two shots to go with his 15-point performance.

Mike Poole once again provided grit and energy off the bench, hitting big shots late to help the Hurricanes seal their win in the fourth quarter. He finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.

The series will continue on Saturday in Halifax for Game 5 at the Scotiabank Centre. Tickets are available at the Ticket Atlantic Box Office or online.
