
Lightning Win a Thriller in Game 5

(St. John's, NFLD) - The London Lightning won a thrilling game in St John's on Thursday night. Neither team wanted to give an inch, with both teams exchanging huge basket for huge basket. It was Ryan Anderson late in the 4th quarter with some big shots and getting to the free throw line that closed the door on the Edge. 130-127 was the final. The Lightning now lead the best of 7 series 3 games to 2 and head home with 2 chances to finish off the Edge at home.
Royce White led the way with 37 points and 9 assists, Ryan Anderson and Mo Bolden added 24 points each, Garrett Williamson scored 16, Julian Boyd chipped in 14 points, and Kyle Johnson finished with 11.
The next London Lightning home game is Sunday, April 29th at 2 P.M. against the St. John's Edge for game 6 of a best of 7 series. Tickets are available at www.lightningbasketball.ca or the Budweiser Gardens Box Office.
