Halifax, (NS) - Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club defeated the Saint John Mill Rats 109-80 in game four of the Atlantic Conference Championships, at the Harbour Station. Hurricanes sweep the Mill Rats in the 7 game series 4-0, and advance to the Finals.
Hurricanes led the Mill Rats 26-19 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Mill Rats 25-21, and the Hurricanes lead 51-40 at halftime. In the third quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Mill Rats 29-20. The Hurricanes outscored the Mill Rats again 29-20 in the final quarter, defeating the Mill Rats by a margin of 29 points; The final score of the game was 109-80.
Center, Kyle Hunt led the Hurricanes with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Forward, Billy White scored 17 points. Guard, Cliff Clinkscales scored 12 points. Guard, Joel Friesen scored 12 points. Forward, Mike Glover scored 12 points. Guard, Justin Johnson scored 11 points.
Guard, Anthony Anderson scored 13 points for the Mill Rats. Forward, Gabe Freeman scored 13 points. Guard, Chris Smith scored 13 points. Forward, Keith Gayden scored 12 points.
Halifax Hurricanes have swept the Mill Rats in the Atlantic Conference Finals and will move on to face the winner of the Windsor Express vs. London Lightning series in the NBL Canada Finals.
