Mill Rats Host Hurricanes Tonight Looking to Stave off Elimination

May 21, 2016 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Saint John Riptide News Release

(SAINT JOHN, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats have dug a deep 3-0 hole in their series against the #1 Halifax Hurricanes, but insist it's not over yet.

"We can win this," said Mill Rats guard Anthony Anderson. "We can only take it one game at a time, and that starts with tonight."

There's hope as the Mill Rats won 4 games in a row against the Hurricanes already this season on Jan 13 (105-100 in Halifax), Jan 14 (98-91 in Saint John), Jan 28 (115-104 in Halifax), and Feb 28 (107-95 in Saint John). But it won't be easy.

"That's a very strong team we are facing and very well coached," said Mill Rats Head Coach Rob Spon. "Our guys won't quit we fight each game down to the final buzzer and live with the results."

A Saint John loss either tonight, or if the series extends to Monday night, would mean that tonight's game would have been the final Mill Rats home game of the 2015-16 season. Get out to support your hometown team TONIGHT!

If the Mill Rats can win two games, then Game 6 will be back at Harbour Station on Tuesday at 7PM. Full playoff details:
