Huntsville City Football Club News Release
Kissimmee, Fla. - Huntsville City Football Club suffered its first defeat on Friday night, falling 2-1 to Orlando City B despite a sensational goal by Kemy Amiche.
The result was not reflective of Huntsville City FC's efforts to get a result in Orlando. HCFC out-possessed (62.2-37.8), out-shot (18-7) and delivered 21 more crosses than Orlando City B in the contest.
Orlando City B struck early as Alex Freeman found the back of the net in the third minute of play and then in the 43rd minute, giving Orlando City B a 2-0 lead at halftime. Huntsville City FC came out firing in the second half which led to a spectacular goal from Amiche. The midfielder took possession of the ball and sent a pass to Captain Nick Law down the flank. Law returned a pass in the box and found a streaking Amiche who hammered home the goal off of a volley.
After the match, Head Coach Jack Collison expressed his pleasure with the team's offensive mentality on the night, but disappointment to concede two goals. Coach Collison also spoke about the lessons the club will learn from tonight and utilize those in the next match against FC Cincinnati 2. Amiche talked about his goal and combination play with Nick Law as well as the mentality of the group heading into next week.
