Huntsville City FC Adds University of Alabama in Huntsville Men's Varsity Soccer Team to Inaugural Blastoff Battle Invitational

Huntsville, Ala. - Huntsville City Football Club announced today the addition of University of Alabama in Huntsville Men's Varsity Soccer Team to the inaugural "Huntsville City FC Blastoff Battle" Invitational taking place Presidents Day Weekend (Feb. 16 - 18) at the Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium. University of Alabama in Huntsville joins the tournament after FC Tulsa's withdrawal.

With the change, Huntsville City FC and UAH Men's Soccer Team will kick off the tournament at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, Feb. 16. The Boys in Blue will return to the pitch as originally scheduled on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 2:15 p.m. CT to close out the tournament against USL League One opponent South Georgia Tormenta FC. Also participating in the invitational is MLS NEXT Pro newcomer Chattanooga FC, who will take on Tormenta on Feb. 16 at 4 p.m. CT and UAH on Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. CT.

General admission tickets for the Huntsville City FC Blastoff Battle Invitational are still available here. At $25, General admission weekend passes give fans access to all four matches, while $15 single day passes provide fans tickets to two matches, either on Feb. 16 or 18.

Huntsville City FC will announce the opponent of its originally scheduled match against the University of Alabama in Huntsville Men's Varsity Soccer Team at 2 p.m. CT on March 9 at the John Hunt State Championship Soccer Stadium (2151 Airport Rd. SW, Huntsville, AL 35801), in the upcoming weeks.

Huntsville City FC will be kicking off their second season in MLS NEXT Pro in March. Details regarding the regular season schedule will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
