Hubert Named Warstic TCL Player of the Week

Victoria General's outfielder Jacob Hubert has been named the Warstic Texas Collegiate League Player of the Week for week two of the 2013 summer season.

Hubert slugged his way through the week to the tune of 13 RBIs in just five games while batting .368 on the week. He drove in runs in each of the five games he played, posting four RBIs in the June 5 contest against the Texas Marshals and again two days later versus the East Texas Pump Jacks.

He added two doubles and two triples to register a .684 slugging percentage, along with three stolen bases. The junior outfielder from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi now tops the TCL with 15 RBIs, five more than his nearest competitor, and his .571 slugging percentage is good for third in the TCL.

Hubert and the Generals return to action on Tuesday night to take on the Acadiana Cane Cutters at 7:05pm at Riverside Stadium. It's Free Ticket Tuesday presented by the University of Houston-Victoria. All fans will be let in for free to Tuesday night's game courtesy of UHV.
