Howse and Murray to leave team

San Angelo, TX – The San Angelo Saints of the Central Hockey League announced today that Saints players Jon Howse and Scott Murray will be leaving the team for personal reasons. "Its hard not to be disappointed," said Saints Head Coach Ray Edwards. "They are grown men and have made their decision."

Howse, a 6-2, 185 lb. center, came to the Saints a couple of games into the season and helped not only in team scoring, but also acted the part of enforcer. In his 20 games played with the Saints, Howse scored 6 goals and assisted on 6 others, while earning 36 penalty minutes. Howse will me returning home to go back to school.

Murray, the Saints backup goaltender, saw action in only 152 minutes of play through 5 games so far this season, where he went 0-1-1 with a goal against average of 2.76. Murray is returning home for personal reasons.

"We are currently looking for people to replace these two players," stated Edwards. "We should have someone in place in the next week or so." Both Murray and Howse will play their final game as a Saints tonight as the Saints travel to Odessa to take on the Odessa Jackalopes at 7 PM at the Ector County Coliseum. This game can be heard on Kickin' Country 103.1 FM or streamed through the internet from the Saints web-site at www.sanangelosaints.com.
