Ice Bats Know When to Hold \'Em

December 21, 2004 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Austin Ice Bats News Release

The Austin Ice Bats of the Central Hockey League will be able to make the holidays brighter for hundreds of children in Central Texas, thanks to the generosity of fans at the team's inaugural Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament, held Sunday at Carlos ‘n Charlie's on Lake Travis. In addition to the tournament, the Ice Bats auctioned off the team's "playing card" jerseys, worn during their game last Saturday. The tournament, live jersey auction and silent auction generated over $15,000 to benefit Ice Bats Children's Charities.

The Ice Bats congratulate Mark Duncan of Round Rock as the tournament winner.
