
Houston Dynamo Face Columbus Crew Tonight at Crew Stadium

HOUSTON (Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014) - The Houston Dynamo meet the Columbus Crew at 6:30 p.m. CT tonight in a pivotal Eastern Conference matchup at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
Tonight's game will be broadcast live on CSN Houston Plus (6 p.m. pregame) and can be heard on Yahoo Sports Radio 1560 AM and 850 AM (Spanish). The game will also be broadcast on tape delay beginning at 11 p.m. on Telumundo Houston (Spanish).
The Dynamo are 7-12-4 (25 points) and tied for eighth place in the Eastern Conference. Houston secured a 2-0 win over the Philadelphia Union last Friday as Will Bruin scored early in the second half.
The Crew is 7-8-9 (30 points) and in fourth place in the East after a 4-1 victory over the LA Galaxy last Saturday that included four different goal scorers.
Tonight's game continues a stretch of 12 consecutive games against Eastern Conference foes to complete the regular season. Following tonight, the Dynamo will have 10 games remaining in the regular season.
Columbus features Argentine midfielder Federico Higuain, who leads the club with nine goals and six assists. Third-year midfielder Ethan Finlay has six goals and four assists. The Columbus defense features U.S. national team defender Michael Parkhurst and Costa Rica international center back Giancarlo Gonzalez, who played at the 2014 World Cup.
The Dynamo won the first meeting with the Crew this season, a 1-0 triumph on May 7 at BBVA Compass Stadium behind Will Bruin's winning goal. The clubs meet again on Sept. 13 in Houston.
Following tonight's game, the Dynamo visit Sporting Kansas City on Friday, Aug. 29 at Sporting Park.
