Houston Dash News Release
HOUSTON - The Houston Dash announced two roster updates today. The team and goalkeeper Heather Hinz mutually agreed to terminate her contract. Additionally, the team signed goalkeeper Liz Beardsley to a short-term contract through the remainder of the season.
Hinz appeared in three matches for the team across all competitions last year. She earned a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory over Pachuca FC in the NWSL x LIGA MX Femenil Summer Cup and she made her professional debut on July 28 in Houston's 2-1 victory over Tigres UANL Femenil. Hinz made her NWSL debut at Shell Energy Stadium on Nov. 2 against Bay FC.
Beardsley joined the team earlier this year for preseason as a non-roster invitee and traveled with the Dash to California to compete in the Coachella Valley Invitational. The goalkeeper spent the final two seasons of her collegiate career with the University of Maryland. The goalkeeper played every game of her senior season and finished with five clean sheets and 74 saves. Beardsley finished with 11 clean sheets for Maryland and 141 saves across both seasons.
The team will travel to Lumen Field this weekend to face Seattle Reign FC on Sunday, May 11. Fans can watch the match live on NWSL + and Paramount +.
