January 10, 2022 - National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) - Houston Dash News Release
The Houston Dash and goalkeeper Lindsey Harris have agreed to a new one-year contract, the club announced today.
Harris appeared in five NWSL regular season matches in goal for the Dash, recording 10 saves and also appeared in two matches during the 2021 Challenge Cup with two shutouts and six saves. The Austin native made her NWSL debut in April 2021 and was the first goalkeeper to earn a shutout in her club debut. Harris signed with the Dash in 2020 as a free agent.
Prior to arriving in Houston, Harris played three seasons overseas in Iceland and Norway. Despite playing just one season for the Icelandic side FH, Harris helped the team drop its goals against average by 35 percent. During her two years with the Norwegian club Klepp, Harris helped the team claim a spot in the UEFA Champions League, have a second-place finish in the league table and was named the 2019 Toppserien Goalkeeper of the Year.
Harris played collegiately at the University of North Carolina and was a member of the 2012 NCAA National Championship winning team. During her time with the Tarheels, Harris broke the program record of saves in a season with 90 and made a career-high eight saves in one match during the NCAA quarterfinals of her senior season.
