October 5, 2007 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Youngstown SteelHounds News Release

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown SteelHounds of the Central Hockey League announced today that Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kaminski has re-signed defenseman Milan Maslonka for the 2007-08 season. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Maslonka, 20, returns and remains the youngest member of a squad who qualified for the playoffs for the first time in franchise history last season. The native of Zvolen, Slovakia is also the biggest member of the team standing in at 6-6 and weighing 245 pounds.

Kaminski is expecting big things from his big defenseman saying, "We look for Milan to come in here and be a presence for us. He's a young project who got his feet wet to the North American game last year. He definitely loves the physical side of the game and now we will strive to help him become a complete player." Kaminski concluded by saying, "We are glad to have him back!"

Maslonka was one of seven SteelHounds to take part in American Hockey League training camps attending preseason festivities with the Hartford Wolf Pack. Maslonka was called up to Hartford last season; the Wolf Pack are the top affiliate of the New York Rangers.

The Hounds hit the ice for a preseason match-up against the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL on Friday, October 12th at the Chevrolet Centre with a 7:05pm face-off. Tickets are free for all Hounds season ticket holders and just $5 for general admission. For more information on this game and how you can get Hounds season tickets for as low as $42 per month call the Hounds ticket department at (330) 747-PUCK today.
