Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release

PITTSBURGH (April 7, 2015) - The Pittsburgh Riverhounds are pleased to announce an open house this Sunday, April 12, to mark the launch of The Riverhounds Academy Strength and Speed training programs.

Our redesigned Strength and Speed Academy offers year-round professional training programs to local athletes of all abilities who are looking to perform at a higher level.

Riverhounds fitness director Mike Whiteman will lead the open house workouts for players and parents at the Shallenberger Recreation Center, 595 Dexter Road, Scottdale, Pa. 15683. The demonstrations will run from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Sunday's event will also offer a sampling of other programs soon to commence at the Shallenberger Recreation Center including private and semi-private sessions focusing on goalkeeper training and foot skills.

Every player registered for The Riverhounds Academy sessions from the Under-8 age group upward will receive the updated Strength and Speed Academy training as part of their curriculum starting in June this year.

Members of the Riverhounds' first team roster will be on site Sunday to sign autographs and provide demonstrations. There will also be a prize raffle as part of our Sunday Soccer Celebration.

Contact the Riverhounds' Soccer Specific Training director Erik Eisenhut on (781) 424-3028 or by email to eeisenhut@riverhounds.com for further details about our new training programs or for information about Sunday's open house event.
