Bowling Green Hot Rods News Release
(Bowling Green, KY) - The Bowling Green Hot Rods, Single-A affiliate of the American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays, are looking for local hot rods to feature on Opening Night, April 17th, 2009. Ten hot rod owners will drive their cars around the field, ferrying players into the park for the team's historic first game.
"As part of our heritage, and the heritage of this area, we are excited to offer this opportunity," said Brad Taylor, Hot Rods' General Manager and CEO. "This contest will be a great way to feature some of South Central Kentucky's most devoted car enthusiasts, while uniting this area's love of automobiles and baseball."
The team is encouraging car owners to submit pictures, model information, and awards history to the front office. Complete submission instructions are available at www.bghotrods.com. Once entries are received, the team will host cars at its office to help determine the ten winners. To accommodate the high interest in this program, the team office will now be open on Saturdays, beginning February 7th, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
All entries must be received by Tuesday, March 10th, 2009. For more information, contact Keith Hetzer at khetzer@bghotrods.com or (270) 901-2121 ext. 103
