
Hose's Contract Purchased by Red Sox

The Newark Bears have announced that they have sold the contract of RHP T.J. Hose to the Boston Red Sox.
Hose was originally drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 36th Round of the 2008 MLB Draft. In his two seasons in the Diamondback organization, Hose compiled an 8-9 record with a 3.94 ERA. His best season came in 2009 with Class A South Bend of the Midwest League, where he we earned an All-Star selection after going 3-2, with a 1.70 ERA, and 11 saves.
The Red Sox have assigned Hose to High Class A Salem Red Sox of the Carolina League. Hose will make an immediate impact for his new team, going two innings in his first game.
