CORPUS CHRISTI - Want to get lost in the â50s this weekend, specifically 1958? You can do just that... at a ballpark recently voted the top minor league sports venue on the continent!
Our Texas League Champion 1958 Giants are in focus Thursday through Sunday as the Hooks celebrate the Golden Anniversary of Corpus Christi's first TL title.
Whataburger Field gates open at 5:30 Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Stadium entry begins at 4:30 Sunday.
As the Hooks wear '58 Giants throwback uniforms all weekend, fans enjoy historical video tributes and retrospectives, not to mention 58-cent pies at the Whataburger near the main entrance.
Concession stands feature special pricing on selected items, too.
You'll find a limited number of 1958 Corpus Christi Giants caps and t-shirts for sale at Hook, Line & Sinker, just inside the Right Field gates.
