The Brampton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) in collaboration with the City of Brampton announced Monday an inaugural Camp Day Game will take place on Wednesday, July 10 at 12:30 p.m. when the Honey Badgers play host to the Ottawa BlackJacks. This game will provide the opportunity to expose camp attendees to professional basketball while furthering the partnership between the Honey Badgers and the City of Brampton.

"We are thrilled to partner with the Brampton Honey Badgers for this exciting Camp Day Game and Camp Takeover initiative, sharing the power of sports through professional basketball with children and youth right here in Brampton," said Patrick Brown, Mayor of the City of Brampton. "As an avid sports enthusiast, I know first-hand the influence and lasting memories sports can create. With our collaboration more children in our community will have the opportunity to share in the joy of teamwork and experience the sense of accomplishment that comes from participating in sports."

The game is aligned with the "Brampton Honey Badgers Summer Camp Takeover Week" from July 8-12 across all Brampton recreation camp locations. Festivities will include mascot appearances, learning and basketball-themed activities, and other collaborative initiatives.

"This is a very exciting opportunity for our organization to continue our growing partnership with the City of Brampton," said Chris Rodricks, senior director of business operations for the Brampton Honey Badgers. "We can't wait for camp attendees to experience the Honey Badgers throughout the week and to enjoy a thrilling game in what will be an electric atmosphere at the CAA Centre."

City of Brampton week-long summer camps offer participants an opportunity to engage with peers and enjoy games and activities indoors and outdoors. The City is proud to offer a wide range of camps to meet the diverse interests of children, youth and young adults ages four to over 21.
