"Home Runs for Hearts" Ticket Event this Saturday
January 31, 2012 - Atlantic League (AtL)
York Revolution News Release
The Revolution will host a special event on Saturday, to open individual ticket sales for all 70 of their 2012 home games, including the home opener on May 1. $1 from every individual ticket sold in-person and $5 from every six-pack of tickets sold will go to the American Heart Association, as part of the Revolution's "Home Runs for Hearts" promotion.
The Revs decided on the American Heart Association after hearing the story of 17-year-old fan Cody Lehmann, who was born with a rare heart defect that has prevented him from playing sports himself. After multiple surgeries Cody has persevered and stays involved in sports as a team manager for the Central York High School football and baseball teams.
Revolution pitcher and team icon Corey Thurman will also be present at the event from 10 a.m. to Noon, taking pictures and signing autographs for fans.
The York Revolution Professional Baseball Club is a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. The team has captured the Atlantic League Championship in two consecutive seasons, 2010 and 2011 in just five years as a franchise. Home games are played at Sovereign Bank Stadium, located at 5 Brooks Robinson Way, York, PA 17401. For more information, please call 717-801-HITS (4487), or visit the Revolution online at www.YorkRevolution.com.
