For the second straight day the visiting Round Rock Express used a late-inning push to emerge victorious. Three runs in the ninth inning broke a 5-5 tie and gave the Express an 8-5 win.

The Express scored three runs in the top of the first inning against Z's starter Brett Sinkbeil, who stayed on the hill through the fifth inning and left with the Zephyrs trailing 4-0.

The Z's offense came to life in the sixth inning as four runs were plated to tie the game. With runners on the corners, Alejandro De Aza hit a double to the right-centerfield gap that scored both John Raynor and Brett Hayes. Chris Coghlan then hit a two-run home run to bring the score to a 4-4 tie.

Round Rock took the lead in the seventh on a solo home run by Yordany Ramirez, but New Orleans got a run of their own in the eighth on a two-out single by John Lindsey.

In the top of the ninth the first five batters reached base and the Express hit three-bases loaded singles to score three runs. The Z's went quietly in the bottom of the ninth.

Z's pitcher Carlos Martinez was given the loss, while the win and the save went to Casey Daigle and Chad Paronto, respectively.

The Zephyrs have now loss all nine of their home games, tying the record for consecutive home losses. The only other time the Z's lost nine in a row at home came in 1995.

Tomorrow night the Zephyrs host the Express at 7:00. John Koronka is the probable starter for the Zephyrs, while Jose Capellan is expected to start for Round Rock.
