On the Road Update... At last, welcome to the top.

It may be a little too early in the season for histrionics, but Round Rock is finding more and more reasons to celebrate.

For the second time in as many games, five Express hitters logged multi-hit games as Round Rock rolled to its fifth straight win with an 8-5 victory in New Orleans on Tuesday.

The Express moved to 12-14 and into sole possession of first place in the Pacific Coast League American Southern Division. Other than its season-opening win, the Express has not owned or shared the division's top slot since April 7, 2008.

Over the course of its current winning streak, the Express has lifted its team batting average eight points to .266 while lowering its team ERA nearly half a point to 5.05.

Outfielder Yordany Ramirez - 4-for-5 with a double, a home run and two RBI on Tuesday - has cranked out a team-leading nine hits over the current winning streak. Ramirez is one of four Round Rock hitters carrying .400-plus batting averages over the stretch and is one of two players batting .300 or higher for the season (Ramirez, .366; Edwin Maysonet, .306).

In all, the Express has amassed 58 hits over its last five games, good for a .322 batting average.

On the mound, the team has trimmed a 3.40 ERA over the five-game span, striking out 39 against 15 walks. Starters have logged a 3-0 record with a 3.81 ERA while the bullpen has fashioned a pair of wins and a 2.70 ERA.

Round Rock looks to keep looks to keep its league-high streak alive Wednesday in the third of the current four-game series with New Orleans.
