
Holmes Going to Venezuela

(Summerside, PE) Summerside STORM Head Coach Joe Salerno announced today that recently acquired guard Ralphy Holmes has accepted an offer to play in Venezuela. While the STORM is disappointed with the Holmes' decision, the organization respects his decisionand wishes him well in his future basketball endeavours.
Coach Salerno said players of Holmes' calibre are sought by leagues worldwide and while he's disappointed about Holmes leaving, he's pleased with his team's effort in a big win over the weekend in Halifax which Holmes missed with a thumb injury. Salerno looks forward to the team continuing to work hard with the talent he has in maintaining top spot in the Atlantic Division of the NBL.
The STORM play two more games on the road, December 21st in Halifax and December 23rd in Saint John, before coming home for 3 games at Credit Union Place between Christmas and New Year's. All road games can be seen live through webcast at www.stormbasketball.ca
