Hogs to Honor Boylan and Dakota High School Champions

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League will honor state football champions from Boylan High School and Dakota High School at IceHogs games at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Wednesday, Dec. 21 and Sunday, Jan. 22 respectively.

The Boylan Titans football team will be honored on the ice before the IceHogs take on Toronto Marlies at 7:05 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Dec. 21. The football team won its second straight state championship with a 21-14 victory over Wheaton Warrenville South on Nov. 26.

Dakota High School's football and volleyball teams will be recognized during the first intermission on Jan. 22 when the IceHogs host the Milwaukee Admirals. The Indians won the IHSA Class 1A state football championship on Nov. 25 over Tuscola. Dakota's volleyball team captured the Class 1A volleyball title on Nov. 12.

Next Home Game: Friday, Dec. 16 vs. Peoria. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The Rivermen return to the BMO Harris Bank Center for an Illinois Lottery Cup matchup for a fourth time this season. The first 1,500 fans (21 and older) into the building will receive a voucher for an IceHogs pitcher, courtesy of Applebee's.
