Jets Reassign Arturs Kulda to IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have reassigned defenceman Arturs Kulda to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

Kulda, 23, played in nine games with the Winnipeg Jets after being recalled from St. John's on Nov. 13/11. In that time he recorded no points and four penalty minutes. The native of Riga, Latvia has now played in a career total 15 NHL games with Atlanta and Winnipeg and has two points (0g, 2a) and eight penalty minutes. Prior to his recall, Kulda played in 13 games with the IceCaps this season recording six points (2g, 4a) along with 12 penalty minutes.

Kulda was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round, 200th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
