
HiToms Extend Finch Field Lease

Finch Field.- The High Point-Thomasville HiToms have agreed in principle with the city of Thomasville to remain at Historic Finch Field.
Serving as the home of the greater HPT area's baseball team for 82 years, Finch Field has been the hub of baseball activity in the greater High Point/Thomasville area since 1935. Hosting minor league affiliate baseball, Major League Baseball exhibitions, ACC contests, NCAA Regionals, North Carolina State American Legion championships, Team USA and the Coastal Plain League, Finch Field and the HiToms embark on a new era of activity focused on community re-development and area youth participation.
"Finch Field, greater HPT area baseball and the HiToms have been inextricably linked for more than eight decades, and we are thrilled to continue our partnership with the city of Thomasville," HPT HiToms President Greg Suire said. "Our franchise has positively affected the community members of High Point, Archdale/Trinity, Davidson County and of course Thomasville for generations. The HiToms are focused on our mission of being a community leader in baseball, tourism and quality of life.
