Hitmen improve to 15-5 with overtime win over Everett

Calgary, AB - Joel Broda scored in overtime lifting the Calgary Hitmen to a 3-2 win over the Everett Silvertips Friday night at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

Michael Stone and Austin Madaisky also scored for the Hitmen who have now won five straight on home ice.

Brandon Kozun had a pair of assists for Calgary to extend his point scoring streak to 13 games, tying the longest streak in the Western Hockey League this season. He also leads the WHL scoring race with 36 points.

Chris Langkow and Tyler Maxwell scored for Everett who battled back from deficits of 1-0 and 2-1.

With the win, the Hitmen improve to 15-5 on the season and maintain their six point lead over Medicine Hat atop the Central Division standings.

Calgary will wrap up their three game homestand Sunday when they host the Swift Current Broncos at the Pengrowth Saddledome. Game time is 5:00 p.m.
