January 20, 2020 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Winnipeg Ice News Release
The ICE and the Hitmen met for the second consecutive night and the ICE saw themselves open the scoring again. Cole Muir scored his sixth of the season on assists from Isaac Johnson and Jackson Leppard. The ICE would take that lead into the first intermission.
The Hitmen came out in the second and responded with two unanswered goals. Riley Fidler-Shultz scored his 4th of the year on a short-handed breakaway to even things up just under five minutes into the second. Then the Hitmen power play went to work and Carson Focht scored his 22nd of the year to give the Hitmen a 2-1 lead heading into the final frame.
Isaac Johnson scored his 17th of the year just under five minutes into the final frame on the power play to even things up at two. With just under seven minutes to go in the game, the Hitmen's Wiesblatt snuck one in on a wraparound and that stood up as the eventual game winner.
Jesse Makaj made 17 saves in the outing.
