Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League has named forward Joey Hishon the Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 31st, 2010.

The Stratford, ON. native kicked off his week by announcing that he was going to be holding the Hishon for Hodgkins campaign in conjunction with the "Attack Fight Back Against Cancer". In support of a family friend in Stratford, Peter Hyde of Hyde Construction is donating $100.00 for every Hishon goal and $50.00 for every Hishon Assist, a promotion that began on Saturday evening vs. the Guelph Storm.

Hishon started the week off with an assist in a loss against the Plymouth Whalers but the big night came at home on Saturday vs. the Storm when Hishon netted two goals, including the overtime winner in a 3-2 victory over the Storm. The victory not only snapped a 2 game skid, it kept Guelph six points back of the last playoff spot and allowed the first $200.00 to be contributed to the Hishon for Hodgkins Campaign.

Hishon finished the week with 2 goals and 1 assist. The 18 year old draft eligible forward has 13 goals and 20 assists in 29 games, however; since his return from injury, Hishon has 21 points in 16 games.

The Attack is back in action this week when they travel to take on the Windsor Spitfires, Sarnia Sting and Plymouth Whalers. All of the action can be heard with Fred Wallace on Bruce Telecom Bear Radio.
