
Hip Hop Artist Nelly to Perform at Halftime of Omaha Nighthawks Season Opener

OMAHA, NE - Monday, September 20 -Grammy award winning hip hop artist Nelly is scheduled to perform at halftime of the Omaha Nighthawks season opener Sept. 24 at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha.
The artist, actor, CEO and entrepreneur signed with Universal music in 1999 and has since produced platinum albums such as Country Grammar and chart topping hits like "Air Force Ones", "Dilemma" and "Party People." In December of 2009, Nelly was ranked the 3rd Top Overall Artist of the Decade by Billboard Magazine.
The multi-talented artist is no stranger to football and has shown his athletic abilities on screen as a speedy running back in "The Longest Yard" and on the field in MTV's Rock and Jock celebrity football games.
The Nighthawks' season opener against the Hartford Colonials (1-0) on Friday, Sept. 24 is set for 7 p.m. at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha.
