
Hinton Leads Vipers to Victory with Triple-Double

EDINBURG, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (17-12), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, defeated the South Bay Lakers (16-13) 129-113 on Thursday night at Bert Ogden Arena.
The first quarter was filled with eight back-and-forth lead changes. With less than seven minutes to go the game then became tied 14-14. The Vipers then pulled away with a 29-26 lead.
Since then, the Vipers never looked back and walked off with a 129-113 victory over the Lakers.
Darius Days led the Vipers with 24 points. Houston Rockets Two-Way Nate Hinton had his first triple-double of the season with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Jarret Culver had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Shaquille Harrison led all scorers with 32 points followed by Damion Baugh with 28 points and Joey Calcaterra with 17 points.
The action against the South Bay Lakers continues Saturday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. CST during Faith and Family Night. The night will consist of a post-game performance by BT Church and a testimonial from Head Coach Kevin Burleson. The first 1,000 fans in the building will receive a shopping bag courtesy of H-E-B.
