Game Highlights

Quarter 1: Highlanders 18, Titans 25

The Titans started the game with two quick buckets off Highlanders turnovers. The Highlanders had trouble getting points early in the game, but were able to draw fouls and create turnovers of their own. The Titans were shooting well and challenged the Highlanders on both sides of the court to maintain the lead midway through the 1st quarter. The Highlanders couldn't take advantage of their possessions, while the Titans continued to play well to lead it by 7.

Quarter 2: Highlanders 52, Titans 41

The Highlanders scored to start the 2nd quarter and recovered defensive rebounds to control play and tied the game. The Titans were unable to match their shooting from the 1st, and the Highlanders continued to play well to take their first lead of the game. Both teams exchanged the lead before the Highlanders found their shooting and took control with an 11-point lead at the buzzer. Tanner Giddings led the Highlanders with 10 points at the half.

Quarter 3: Highlanders 82, Titans 62

The Titans scored first in the 3rd quarter, but the Highlanders picked up where they left off and managed to score difficult baskets to extend their lead. The Highlanders were playing an effective team game and stopped the Titans to hold an 18-point lead with nine minutes remaining in the quarter. The Titans were finally able to get stops and earned points from the free-throw line in an effort to bring the score close, but the Highlanders continued to control the game and led by 20 at the end of the quarter.

Quarter 4: Highlanders 112, Titans 89

The Titans needed to do a lot of work, and they began by drawing fouls and making shots from distance. The Highlanders drove to the net and played well under the basket to earn rebounds and find points in turn. The Titans continued to work and draw even more fouls, but the Highlanders slowed the game down and were able to extend the lead even further and win the game. The Highlanders have won three in a row during their four-game Ontario road trip and take sole possession of 1st place overall in the NBLC with a record of 14-7.
