Q1: Highlanders 23, Edge 31
The Edge came out with a hot start, and were very efficient from behind the arc. Cape Breton struggled to find their groove, but managed to keep St. John's within reach to end the quarter.
Q2: Highlanders 45, Edge 58
The Highlanders continued to struggle from the field, while the Edge continued to shoot the ball well in the second quarter. Cape Breton couldn't keep up with the scoring and started to see the lead widen.
Q3: Highlanders 71, Edge 80
Cape Breton came out in the second half with lots of energy. They were able to slow down St. John's offence and started to pick up some momentum. Strong defense was able to bring the game back to within reach for the fourth quarter.
Q4: Highlanders 92 | Edge 109
The final quarter was similar to the first. The Edge was making shot after shot, and Cape Breton couldn't keep up. It was a high-paced game, as both teams were playing hard on every play, and showing lots of emotion on the floor. St. John's 3-point shooting was the difference in Tuesday night's battle.
