Cape Breton Highlanders News Release
The Cape Breton Highlanders professional basketball team have announced that Bruce Massey has decided to stay and finish the season in Cape Breton.
Last Thursday, Massey received an opportunity to play in Lebanon, but after further consideration, decided to remain with the Highlanders.
Massey said, "The thought of even leaving Cape Breton was certainly difficult, because I feel at home here and our fans are so supportive of me and our team. I discussed the situation with my family, my agent, and the Highlanders organization to help me get a broader perspective. We have great fans and a championship-caliber team here, so the right decision is for me to stay and make the most of the opportunity I have with the Highlanders."
Highlanders founder, Tyrone Levingston, added, "Bruce is having a league MVP season. He is a talented player and leader on the court, and a role-model off the court. His decision to stay in Cape Breton is great news."
The next Highlanders game is 2PM, Sunday, January 6 at Centre 200.
