ROCHESTER, N.Y. (February 4, 2008)- Robert Reed, a highly decorated receiver has signed with the Rochester Raiders of the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) for the 2008 Season. Reed has scored 53 touchdowns over the past two seasons in which he was a member of the Billings Outlaws, currently of the United Indoor Football League (UIF). Reed missed the first three games of the 2007 season but still managed to score 21 touchdowns on his way to being selected to the First Team All UIF.

"Robert is an extremely talented receiver," commented Bob Bartosiewicz, Raiders co-owner, "His addition makes us one of the most formidable receiving corps in the country. It is going to be tough for defenses to shut down our passing game with guys like Maurice Jackson, Noah Fehrenbach, Darryl Frager, and now the addition of Robert Reed. Mike (Mikolaichik, QB) is going to have a lot of weapons."

Reed, who at 6'2" spent some time with the San Diego Chargers in 1999, played at the collegiate level at the University of Mississippi, and also in the AF2 has become a crowd favorite at each of his stops along the way. The Raiders are extremely excited about his arrival to their all ready powerful offense. Reed has also shown his versatility by being a shut down defensive back.

The Raiders will open their training camp tomorrow night, February 5 at All Star Sports Arena on East Ridge Road. There is a preseason game scheduled for March 3 against the Rock River Raptors in Rockford, IL. The Raptors will be entering their first year in the CIFL previously having been a member of the United Indoor Football League (UIF).
