High Desert Mavericks News Release

ADELANTO, Calif. - The High Desert Mavericks, Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Texas Rangers, unveil BRAND NEW uniforms for the upcoming 2016 season at Heritage Field. The jerseys feature two variations and four colors: White and Blue (Home), Red and Black (Road).

"With four brand new uniform tops, our team taking the field will be dressed for success every game," said General Manager Ben Hemmen. "Across the board, the Texas Rangers rank in the Top 5 when it comes to organizational talent in the Minor Leagues. The new jerseys our team will wear this season showcase our 26 years in the High Desert, our affiliation with the Rangers and the state of California while giving young athletes the best tools to be successful over a long, hot summer."

The jerseys, made by Russell Athletic, feature Dri-Power technology that helps keep the athlete's skin drier and more comfortable, especially in the hot and cold - two extreme weather conditions that are all too familiar in the California League.

The white and blue jerseys are considered home jerseys. The white home jersey features the familiar "Mavericks" trademark logo across the front with the Mavericks "M" faded on the back. The blue home jersey, in honor of the Texas Rangers, features "Mavericks" across the front in a Western font with an "M" logo overlaying the state of California outline with a Texas logo on the left sleeve.

The red and black jerseys are considered road jerseys. The red road jersey showcases "High Desert" bold-faced on the front with the "HD" logo behind the back number. The black road jersey displays the "HD" logo over the left chest with the "Cowboy face" logo behind the back number.

The 2016 season also features a NEW team hat worn during home games. The new hat mimics the original black "M" logo home hat with a Texas Rangers twist. The cap will be blue with a red bill and a red "M" logo, representing the Mavericks spirit while honoring the Rangers family. On-field Mavericks hats and replica jerseys are available for purchase at the ALL NEW Mavericks team store, the HD Trading Post.

The High Desert Mavericks open their 26th season in the High Desert on a Thirsty Thursday, April 7, against the Inland Empire 66ers, affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. Thirsty Thursday will offer $2 small domestic draft/canned beers, $2 Pepsi products and $4.50 large domestic draft/canned beers. For additional information, visit HDMavs.com or call 760-246-6287.
