
Hershey adds veteran goaltender Jason Bacashihua

HERSHEY - The 2009 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS announced today the club has signed goaltender Jason Bacashihua to a contract for the upcoming 2009-10 season. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
Bacashihua (ba-CA-sha-wa), 26, brings an impressive resume to HERSHEY, including 38 games of NHL experience with the St. Louis Blues. He posted a 2.77 goals against average and a .905 saves percentage last season while playing for the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL), and won an AHL best 18 games for the Worcester IceCats during the 2004-05 campaign. Over two seasons in the NHL, Bacashihua posted a goals against average of 3.19. His professional experience dates back to the 2001-02 season, making his AHL debut with the Utah Grizzlies.
