Henry Welsch Announces his Commitment to Division I UMass Lowell

Your Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League are pleased to announce that goaltender Henry Welsch has committed to play Division I hockey at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Henry is a 6'2 194 pound goaltender from Lakeville, MN. The 19 year old is in his 2nd season with the Wings. He joined the Wings at the end of their 2018-2019 Robertson Cup Championship Season. He has played in 19 games for the Wings this season and has a 1.84 GAA and a .934 Save %.

"Henry's professional approach to the game, along with his high end work ethic helps him excel on and off the ice. It has allowed him to be in a position to play at a very good school in Umass Lowell. Henry is an unreal teammate, that puts the team first everyday. UMass Lowell is located in Lowell, MA. They play in the Hockey East Conference. They are coached by Norm Bazin who is in his 9th season with a 187-100-26 record. Their mascot is Rowdy the River Hawk.
