Henry Thrun Captures Second USHL Defenseman of the Week Title

CHICAGO - Dubuque Fighting Saints defenseman Henry Thrun has won USHL Defenseman of the Week honors for the second time in three weeks. The 20-year-old defenseman scored three points in the Saints' 3-2 win over the Muskegon Lumberjacks in a crucial win that kept the team's playoff hopes alive.

Thrun, who will return to Harvard University for his sophomore season in the fall, has been a welcome addition to the Dubuque blue line. In 18 games, Thrun has scored 17 points. He was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the 4th round of the 2019 NHL Draft. Against USHL competition, Thrun has scored 60 points in 80 games (15-45-60).

The Massachusetts native is coming off of winning the gold medal at the 2021 World Junior Championships as part of Team USA in January.
