Lexington Legends News Release
The Legends are nominated for the 2017 MiLBYs " Game of the Year" Award !
The game in consideration was played on July 13th & 14th, 2017 on the road versus the Delmarva Shorebirds. Five hours and and 51 minutes were not enough to decide the game between the two as play was suspended after 20 innings due to a storm. Four pitches into the following day's resumption, Marten Gasparini hit the go-ahead homer for the Legends.
