
Heller Scores, Wings Come up Short

The puck was dropped Saturday night for the Wings/Blizzard game at the Odde Ice Center in Aberdeen. The Wings however would come up short 3-2.
In the first period, the Aberdeen Wings would get on the board first with a goal from #15 Jordan Heller (F-Bemidji, MN), his 6th goal of the season. The assist coming from #21 Bjorn Sigurdarson (F-Reykjavik, Iceland). Brookings would also score late in the first, 1-1 at the first buzzer.
In the 2nd period, Brookings would put up two more on the Wings making it 3-1. In the 3rd period, the Aberdeen Wings played hard getting more physical. After pulling the goalie, the Aberdeen Wings would get a goal from #9 Patrick Steinhauser (F-Plymouth, MN). But the effort would come short as Brookings would get their second win of the season 3-2 over Aberdeen.
