
Held Nominated For Performance Of The Week

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- The Mississippi RiverKings of the Central Hockey League (CHL) have announced that forward Ryan Held has been nominated for the CHL Performance of the Week.
Held, a third-year RiverKing and fifth-year professional from London, Ontario, was nominated for his goal against the Tulsa Oilers on Saturday, March 20th. The goal, which came with just over two minutes remaining in the game, kept his point streak alive to nine games.
The goal gave Held the longest goal scoring streak in the CHL this season with ten goals in the nine contests.
During the regular season, Held was the team leader in goals (36), assists (42), and points (78). He also led the team in power play goals (10), shorthanded goals (2), and game-winning tallies (5).
At the league level, Held finished the campaign tied for seventh in points, and fourth in goals scored.
Voting for the CHL Performance of the Week is done online at the league website, www.centralhockeyleague.com through Monday, March 29th, with the winner being announced the next day.
The voting for the CHL Performance of the Year will begin on Monday, March 29 and will run through Monday April 12 and be announced on Wednesday, April 14.
PLAYER APPEARANCE AT BUFFALO WILD WINGS CANCELLED
As earlier announced, a RiverKings player appearance scheduled for tonight (Tuesday) at Buffalo Wild Wings in Southaven has been cancelled, due to the playoff schedule.
RIVERKINGS AT HOME TOMORROW NIGHT
The RiverKings tangle with the Missouri Mavericks tomorrow night in game two of the best-of-three first round series at the DeSoto Civic Center. Game time is 7:05 PM.
Tickets that will be honored for tomorrow night's contest MUST read in the upper right-hand corner, ETDR1HG1.
Playoff ticket packages continue to be sold through the RiverKings front office at 662-342-1755 between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The deadline for purchasing playoff ticket packages is tomorrow at 5:00 PM.
Single game ticket sales are available through the DeSoto Civic Center box office and Ticketmaster.
