Harrisburg Heat News Release

The Heat went 0-2 last week, dropping two games to the Kansas City Comets and falling to 9-11 on the season. The club remains in third place in the MISL's Eastern Conference, seven games behind first-place Philadelphia (15-3).

On Tuesday, December 31, the Comets assumed an 8-2 halftime lead and never looked back as the Heat fell by a final score of 19-8 at Kemper Arena in K.C. Mike Henning, David Barbosa, Matt Tanzini, and Marco Coria scored the Heat goals, while the Comets were led by Nate Houser's seven points (three 2pgs, assist). Paolo Ceccarelli saved 13 of 17 shots in goal for the Comets, and Doug Petras, making his final appearance in a Heat uniform, stopped 17 of 24 shots.

And on Saturday, Kansas City's stole the show once again, as the Comets downed the Heat 20-14 at the Farm Show. Reigning MISL MVP Dino Delevski scored 11 points (two 3pgs, two 2pgs, assist) in the win. Harrisburg's Genoni Martinez, the MISL's Offensive Player of the Month for December, scored a 2pg and assisted on three others for five points. Ceccarelli (25 saves) again got the win, while the Heat's Raul Salas (11 saves) took the loss as Harrisburg fell to 0-3 against Kansas City this year.
