Harrisburg, PA - The Harrisburg Heat completed its 2002-03 season with a resounding 24-20 win over the playoff-bound Kansas City Comets at the Farm Show Arena on Sunday night. With the win, Harrisburg finishes the season with a 15-21 record. The Comets end the campaign at 17-19.
After the Comets took an 8-6 lead on Nino DaSilva's 2pg at 7:05 of the second, the Heat scored the final three goals of the half, all between 12:34 and 13:54, to take a 12-8 lead into the half. As was the case all night, the Heat had the answer, with David Bascome sliding home a 2pg at 13:03 to make it 24-20 and give Harrisburg some breathing room as time wound down.
