The Harrisburg Heat defeated the Baltimore Blast by a score of 5-4 on Saturday evening at the Equine Arena in Harrisburg. Andrew Hoxie scored the dramatic game-winning goal with 19 seconds remaining in the game. With the win, Harrisburg improved their record to 1-2, while Baltimore dropped to 1-3.
Hoxie led the Heat with two goals, while David Mellor, Stephen Basso and Robert Williamson each added a goal. Assists were recorded by Jeremy Ortiz with two, and Matt Braem, Elton de Oliveira and Malcolm Harris with one. Baltimore goal scorers were Lucas Roque with two, and Moises Gonzalez and Ricardinho Sobreira with one.
Chase Vosvick had 13 saves to get the win in the net for the Heat. For Baltimore, William Vanzela recorded 8 saves. Elton de Oliveira had four blocks, while Basso and Harris each contributed three blocks.
The Harrisburg Heat are off until January 6, 2023 when they travel to Florida to play the Tropics. Baltimore's next game is also in Florida this upcoming Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Harrisburg's next home game is Saturday, January 21, 2023 when they take on the defending MASL champions, the San Diego Sockers.
