CHICAGO ILL - The Heat scored a goal each period and played great team defence as the Abbotsford Heat shutout the Chicago Wolves 3-0 in AHL action on Wednesday night in the Windy City.

Leland Irving made 13 saves for his first shutout of the season while Jon Rheault, Cam Cunning and Aldergrove's Matt Keith added goals in the win.

The story of the game was team defence, as the Heat allowed just thirteen shots on goal and was fantastic at blocking shots. The Heat unofficially blocked 22 shots during the course of the game including many on the Wolves power play.

The Heat will move to 3-1 on the road this year and 3-2-0-1 overall. Abbotsford will now move to Rockford for a game on Friday night.
