Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat announced today that they have recalled defenseman Drew MacKenzie from the Utah Grizzlies of the East Coast Hockey League.
MacKenzie, a native of New Cannan, CT has played 25 games this season with the Grizzlies, recording five goals and nine assists for 14 points. The 6'2', 195lb rearguard is playing his first professional season following a four year career at the University of Vermont. He was originally drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 7th round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
