Crunch Partner with American Red Cross to Hold Annual Blood Drive

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Crunch Foundation, the club's charitable arm, will be teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Monday January 14, 2013.

The blood drive will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Memorial Hall at the War Memorial Arena located at 800 S. State Street in Syracuse.

Anyone who donates blood will receive one (1) complimentary ticket to the Crunch game on Saturday January 19, 2013 versus the Lake Erie Monsters and a coupon for a free pound of Dunkin Donuts coffee. Donors will also have the opportunity to purchase additional Crunch tickets for only $12 (normally $18). The Crunch's mascot, Crunch Man, and the Zoom Tan Ice Girls will also be on hand.

Crunch fans 17 years and older, or 16 years with parental consent are encouraged to sign up. The consent forms will be provided. Fans who are interested in participating should schedule an appointment by contacting Lena Dubensky at LDubensky@syracusecrunch.com . Photo ID is required and walk-ins are welcome.

Some four million people give blood - the gift of life - through the Red Cross, making is the largest supplier of blood and blood products in the United States. Onondaga County is in need of 3,200 units of blood each month.

The Crunch return to the War Memorial to on Jan. 11 to face the Norfolk Admirals after visiting them for back to back games at the Norfolk Scope on January 4 and 5. Both season tickets and single game tickets for the 2012-2013 season can still be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located at the War Memorial on 800 South State Street in Syracuse, or by calling the office at (315) 473- 4444.
