LOVES PARK, IL - The Rockford Aviators are seeking a full-time Head Groundskeeper for the 2015 season.
The Head Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the playing surface and the grounds at Aviators Stadium in order to provide a safe, first-class baseball environment for our fans and players.
The position with the Aviators is a full-time, seasonal position and the employee will be required to work at all home games and events from March through October at Aviators Stadium. The position is salary-based and hours depend upon the demands of the stadium and field.
Along with the duties of maintaining the playing surface, the Groundskeeper will be responsible for supervising and scheduling seasonal staff and part-time game day staff, overseeing setup and take down of batting practice, maintaining equipment and coordinate, work and staff events outside of baseball that are held at Aviators Stadium.
Applicants must have a two or four-year degree in Turf Management or other related field as well as two to three years of experience working in maintaining baseball fields.
