Greenville, SC â Open Tryout player, Christian Anderson led the Groove in scoring with 16 points in their 73-64 victory over the Huntsville Flight in National Basketball Development League(NBDL) preseason play. The preseason game was held at the BILO Center, in downtown Greenville, SC.
Kevin Lyde joined Anderson in double scoring with 10 points and six rebounds. Brandon Kurtz led the team in rebounding with 7 boards, 5 defensive and 2 offensive.
Early in the fourth quarter, the Flight went on a 10-0 run to bring the game within one. The Groove once again gained control, when veteran, Donald Hand connected on a pass from Greg Jones. The lay-up helped the Groove regain control of the game and secure a preseason victory.
The Groove converted 79 percent of their free throws, completing 15 of 19. The Flight shot 68 percent from the line, going 23 of 34. For the night the Groove shot 46 percent from the field, while the Flight shot 33 percent.
