Hawks Fall 6-1 to Prince George in Game 3

The Portland Winterhawks fell 6-1 to the Prince George Cougars in Game 3 of the first-round playoff series at Veterans Memorial Coliseum Wednesday. Prince George now leads series 2-1 heading into tomorrow's Game 4 in Portland.

Skyler McKenzie struck early in the first period for the Hawks for his second goal of the playoff series. Despite putting up 41 shots, Prince George goaltender Ty Edmonds stood tall in net, stopping 40 of 41 for the second consecutive game to ice the Cougars' win.

The Hawks will look to earn the split on home ice tomorrow night in Game 4 before they hit the road again to Prince George. Game 4 will be played tomorrow in Veterans Memorial Coliseum at 7 pm.
